Ingredients:
- 250g of your selected fish, cut into strips
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup ice-cold water
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking oil for frying
- Tempura dipping sauce (optional)
Instructions:
1. Season the fish strips with salt and pepper.
2. In a bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch.
3. In another bowl, whisk the egg with the ice-cold water, then combine with the flour mixture to form a light batter.
4. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
5. Dip the fish fillets into the batter, coating them evenly.
6. Fry the fillets until golden and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
7. Drain on paper towels and serve with tempura dipping sauce.
